We believe privacy policies should be easy to read. Here's what you need to know about how Tono Events handles your data.
When you use Tono Events, we may collect: your name (required to participate in events), your email (optional, only if you create an account), and your voting preferences. We do not collect anything else.
All events on Tono are public. Anyone with the event link can see the title, description, participants, and votes. Don't put sensitive information in your events.
Your data (events, participants, votes) is stored on Appwrite, a secure backend platform. We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
Premium upgrades are processed entirely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers, bank details, or any payment information in our database. Stripe handles all payment data under their own security standards (PCI DSS compliant). We only keep a reference ID to link the payment to your event.
We use Umami for website analytics. Umami is privacy-focused: it doesn't use cookies, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't track you across websites. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.
We use Cloudflare to protect the site and improve loading speed. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request metadata to block attacks (WAF) and serve cached content. Cloudflare acts as a data processor under their own privacy policy.
Free events and all associated data (participants, votes) are automatically deleted after 30 days. Premium events are kept for 365 days. After that, everything is permanently deleted. You can request early deletion by contacting us.
Under the LGPD (Brazil), GDPR (Europe), and similar laws, you can: access the data we have about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and know which services process your information. To exercise these rights, use the contact below.
